An awning window is one which has hinges on the top and opens outwards to allow for ventilation. We generally recommend awning windows for high or hard-to-reach areas where they can be operated remotely. Our Skandia Swing windows are a better option for windows at a normal height as they can serve the same functions plus the addition of the reversible sash.
